National Overview

This National web site and associated free mailing list has been established to facilitate access to the AusCERT National Information Technology Alert Service and to the National IT Incident Reporting Scheme. The Alert Service provides access to information which may assist organisations to protect their networks and respond to an incident in the event of a computer network attack or compromise. As the national computer emergency response team (CERT) for Australia, AusCERT is a trusted and authoritative source of advice about the latest threats and vulnerabilities affecting computer systems and a source of expertise to help member organisations respond to and recover from computer network attacks.
